Introduction of Collection & Resources

The Library collection now consists of 97% electronic resources and 3% print materials.

Our College major subject is Early Childhood Education (ECE), the Collection mainly covers a comprehensive Early Childhood Education (ECE) discipline designed to meet the needs of staff and students. The Kidsploration Library continues to develop the electronic ECE collection.

A new category of Education & Social Science (EDU) Collection covers the course outline materials tailored for the Postgraduate MEd and PGDE programmes, as well as other new Social Sciences courses within the field of education that extend beyond ECE. Electronic format remains the priority as the collection develops.

The General Collection (GEN) covers on the language discipline and leisure reading materials. 

Children Book Collection (CB) is a unique collection of reading materials targeted for children at pre-primary education level which support teaching, learning and research by staff and students of the college.

It also houses the Special Collections (YC) which focuses on Jumpstarter series of CoolPlay Project, Yew Chung publishing, Donation and other precious materials which are important sources for teaching and research.

The Audio-Visual Collection (AV) holds a collection of audio-visual items on open shelf.

Course Reserves collection (RES) is composed of recommended materials by teaching staff for course reading purposes, held at Circulation Desk upon request. 

The print collection of reference sources (REF) mainly composes of dictionaries, encyclopedias, indexes and abstracts, bibliographies, directories, and atlases. The collection, which provides quick facts, is for consultation in the libraries only and is not available for loan.
