Workshop title: Free & Environmental: Manage PDF Files & Generate Citations Easily with Mendeley
Mendeley is one of the popular and free research management software today. It helps students and researchers to better manage their PDF reading material with the ability to highlight text, create notes, add tag, search full-text and personal notes, share article and collaborate with peers, and most attractively, automatically insert APA citation and references to a MS Word or LibreOffice document. Mendeley is a really handy tool to anyone writing a research paper that requires reading a lot of PDF articles.
There are actually many free and good research management software out there such as EndNote, Zotero and RefWorks; Mendeley's strength lies in its strong PDF management. Learn more about their differences through this guide from PolyU Library: Reference Management Tools
After this workshop, you will learn to work faster with PDF files, better organization of the files, save time from creating a citation from scratch, and save money from printing out the documents.
The workshop will start with a brief introduction of Mendeley and followed by a demonstration.
